That day I was travelling on a very sporty, new model from the Ducati Scrambler family and after dark discovered a rare four-wheeled Italian superstar against the backdrop of Monaco harbour\u2026<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon I\u2019d ridden on the dream road \u201cGran Corniche\u201d from <a href=\"http:\/\/lachkar.com\/ducati-nice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ducati Nice<\/a> to the Monte-Carlo Casino on the<a href=\"https:\/\/scramblerducati.com\/ca-en\/bike\/fullthrottle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arminonbike.com\/en\/scrambler-ducati-full-throttle-nice-grande-corniche-monte-carlo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see my blogpost here\u2026<\/a>). I parked up just after the sharp right-hand bend \u201cMirabeau Haute\u201d to have an Espresso on the terrace at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.starbucks.fr\/store-locator?map=43.738308,7.429331,15z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ni Box-Monaco Starbucks.<\/a> Then it was on to the famed \u201cGrand Hotel Hairpin\u201d, the slowest section in the entire Formula 1. It gets its name from the four-star luxury resort, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairmont.com\/monte-carlo\/offers\/grand-prix\/?_ga=2.110530117.1162151047.1591805987-571364548.1591606760\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fairmont Monte-Carlo<\/a>, immediately bordering the corner, in front of which the typical luxury limousines were neatly lined up.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the sporty character of my Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle, I didn\u2019t ride quite as fast through the Larvotto Tunnel as the Formula 1 cars, which reach a top speed of almost 300 km\/h down this stretch. Immediately after the tunnel exit it passed by the highly exclusive <a href=\"https:\/\/yacht-club-monaco.mc\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yacht Club de Monaco<\/a>, which was founded by Prince Rainier III in 1953 and is headed today by Prince Albert II. Coming around the \u201cTabac\u201d curve I found myself on the race track, where the preparations had just been finished, with steel crash-barriers and stands on both sides. I turned off to the left opposite the Swimming Pool chicane and rode under the stands towards the Pier of Port Hercules.<\/p>\n<p>And there was waiting Leonardo Del Vecchio\u2019s Ferrari LaFerrari. The founder of the eyewear empire \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.luxottica.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luxottica<\/a>\u201d, who\u2019s considered the richest man in Italy. The 62-metre-long yacht \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.codecasayachts.com\/en\/yachts\/moneikos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moneikos<\/a>\u201d, docked at the pier, is his as well. In this lavish setting my Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle cut a fine figure with its two-tone paintwork and sporty accents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LAFERRARI \u2013 THE FIRST HYBRID FERRARI <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrari.com\/en-EN\/auto\/laferrari?translate=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ferrari LaFerrari<\/a> was presented in 2013 as the first hybrid model by the make and with a total power output of 963 horsepower, it was the highest performance vehicle in the Ferrari line at the time.
